should the us millitary use "alternative" ways of torture to get information out of terrorists?

I believe that the millitary should not use allternative ways of torture to get information out of terrorists. Because i think that we as americans wouldn't want another country doing the same to our soldiers if they were captured. And although many people may say that getting information out of terrorist could help prevent another surprise attack .I think that it could also get the united states in trouble because the information could be false and instead of preventing casualties it would create more. Also using alternative ways of torture would also cost more money because we would have to higher private contractors so that we (the united states) don't look like barbarians.

Also if we used other ways of torture it would violate the geneva convention and the reason why they were formed. it would also put in question what people think of the united states and its goverment.we are looked as one of the strongest countries bevause even when folling the law we still come out on top. braking the geneva convention rules would probably make us look weak and make other cuntries loose much of the respect they have for us . and finally i think that the U.S. millitary shouldnt use alternatiive ways of torture because it would be in violation of our constitution. mostly of the 14th ammendment.and although the prisioners might not be kept here in the united states their rights should be put into play just like we would want other countries to take in considiration our soldiers tights if they were to be captured.
